His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has allocated AED 4.5 million to acquire the latest publications from 2033 Arab and international publishers at the 42nd Sharjah International Book Fair. The primary objective of this initiative is to enrich public and government libraries in the Emirates with a wide range of literary content, strengthening the knowledge resources available to the communities in Sharjah and the UAE.
Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi also stated that the grant from His Highness not only supports the growth of the publishing industry but also ensures that Sharjah’s libraries stay updated with new releases spanning various genres. This investment is crucial in fostering a knowledge-based society in Sharjah and the UAE, benefiting readers, researchers, and students.
