Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, accompanied by senior federal Cabinet ministers, attended a state banquet in Beijing, hosted by Chinese President Xi Jinping as part of the Third Belt and Road Forum (BRF). The banquet brought together leaders from various countries, providing an opportunity for Kakar to engage in informal interactions with fellow attendees.
During his visit, Kakar’s agenda includes participation in the BRF’s opening ceremony and a high-level forum focusing on “Connectivity in an Open Global Economy.” In addition, Kakar has plans for bilateral meetings with influential figures such as President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Qiang, and Li Xi. These meetings will revolve around discussions of trade, economic cooperation, as well as regional and global developments.
Furthermore, Kakar will convene with Chinese entrepreneurs and lead a roundtable discussion on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) with the aim of strengthening trade and investment ties between the two nations. In an effort to enhance regional connectivity and foster stronger relations between Pakistan and China, Prime Minister Kakar will embark on a two-day visit to Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in China
